*This might be long and boring but I want to get it out there before I forget*
When I was about 25 I began to have severe pains in my shoulders, eventually I went to the ER (at that time I had never had to go to the ER and the thought of hospitals and needles didn't appeal to me) the Doc at the ER took some blood and did an ultrasound of my gallbladder, he saw that my gallbladder had gallstones and gave me some pain medicine in my IV, well after that I was feeling great lol and ready to leave.
I didn't get to leave that night, I sat in the bed with my mom and the Doc walked in (white as a ghost) before he could even say anything I knew something was wrong.. He had told me my liver numbers were way off the charts, one number was 1500 and the norm is 20-120 so I was way way off, his thinking was that if I got my gallbladder out it would fix my liver numbers. So an hour or so later I was getting ready for surgery and was scared!! I had never had to have surgery like this before and to top it off never had any health problems EVER and now my gallbladder and liver was acting up.
After my Gallbladder was removed and I was in recovery for a few days my Liver numbers we not getting better and I began to have severe pain in my sides.. I still managed to work full time through all this and loved my job so much!
Part 2 will be about my tests and how a prayer saved my life (stay tuned)

stuff :)
Okay i'm writing this one about my silly sleep schedule, for some reason my days turned into nights and nights turned into days.. it's really terrible, my sleep is now from about 4am until noon, it's not fun at all to "sleep" the day away but I have adjusted to it.. my breakfast/lunch is around 4 and my dinner is around 10pm and I do laundry and stuff around 7pm. now I haven't had to deal too much with doctors visits or getting labs, I think that's going to be an issue when those come up, and I have had to rearrange my medicine schedule too (instead of 9am/9pm) it's now 12 and 12.
My bible time is at night when the house is quiet and still.. I get lost in the amazing words and stories! My goal is to read the bible in a year ( I have read it before but I REALLY want to understand it and spread the word better) so feel free to encourage me :)

Home away from home?
It's no secret that I have spent my share of nights in the hospital, i'm so used to the smells, sounds and sights of the hospital, I am very familiar with the routine of getting a PICC line after the many pokes from the iv team trying to find a vain :( and the taste of the saline is almost a sigh of relief because I know it's in the right spot and I can get my meds. I have had my share of stomach bleeding issues and needed many scopes to look down my throat, most of the time they treat me like a child and hold my hand while they push the medicine through my IV line and I can feel the warmth of the meds pump through me and the room starts to spin and I take a nap.
I'm also very used to my routine of going to the lab and getting blood drawn and knowing exactly which person is the best at getting my blood.
I usually forget that doing all this isn't the "norm" for most people but this is all I have done for about 6 years. This is my Home away from home!
